Killa Kali

So most of us just got back from our SoCal trip. I'm still here in L.A. because I'm staying an extra day for my sister's birthday. Kevin, Addy, and the others traveled back for Kevin's mom's birthday. Oh birthdays. This is just a preliminary blog that will set up the posts to come by addy, justin, and kevin. I'm sure kevin is gonna post up the videos and justin will follow up with the pictures. I had a lot of fun. It was awesome to just chill with close friends in a whole new place. We went to Disneyland, the Paid Dues festival, and then L.A. cruisin'. Like I said, I think the pictures and videos will pretty much sum up our trip.
On a final note, I definitely got love for SoCal. I never really had any interest outside of the bay area until I had my stay in Los Angeles for two weeks. At first, it didn't really seem all that important to me, but when I came back home and then went on this trip, I could see the difference. It is just so different and its exciting, that's probably why I like it. I'm going to be coming down here for vacation. Woot Woot.

The City of Angels and giant mice.

I think this may be the longest time I won't be working and/or going to school.

I think this may be what I need. I hope.

Originators.

I just wanted to take this time and show everyone who your lovable authors are.

This is an old picture of us, dated back 2006 or 2007. The photo was taken by our good friend Grace Park. I found this picture and just wanted to share it. hahaha...we look ridiculous.

Some things don't stay in Vegas

Can you saaaaaay what say what say what........i....just got back from my second home..VEGAS!!!! man i had a great time partied at one of the newest and hottest club there which ill speak about later, got to see most of the old homies and meet some really cool ass new ones. i would of posted sooner but after my vegas trip i needed a couple of days to recover because right when i got back i literally went back to work.

Day 1 - So first day of my trip to vegas was take-off man o man what a hard time i had finding a ride to the airport everyone and my mommas was working. but eventually one of my co-worker kristine saved my ass and for that she was much appreciated. As we landed the first thing i wanted to do or actually get is a spicy McChicken sandwhich with big mac sauce and how i longed for it yummm. so night time rolled by after we got settled and ready to go out we met up with some other people and drank at my homie joey house got pretty messed up that night and had alot of jack in the box haha.

Day 2 - It was my cousin god-daughters birthday so me my cousin his god-daughter, and her parents went out shopping. Wow i love vegas and if i were to live there id be broke always buying clothes and shit. Well anyways i went to shop at heritage, H & M and man was i loving it i saw thi girl with seriously a 5-inch gap between her legs haha i am hella laughin about it right now hahaha. but yeah my cousin just but his god-daughter her bday gifts then after that we went to marvin's house and just chilled and drank and chopped it up till like 4 in the morn.

Day 3 - One of my favorite days because i was going to club at XS which is a new club at the new hotel Encore at first was alil rebellious because my club experience before hand wasnt all that great so i thought itd be the same like anywhere else, man was i wrong the moment i walked into the club my eyes opened up and i was amazed music loud wasnt hot and nasty good ratio between men and beautiful women i thought it couldn't get any better until i walked to the outside pool/bar/lounge and because of that i believe that XS is the best club/lounge i ever been to. I mean they had a variety of music from mainstream to house to whatever the DJ was playing that night hahaha. It looked like everyone was having a good time i mean everyone from dancing or talking meeting new people it just was a really good environment. After that we left and we ended up stayin the night a a hotel we some friends we had met that night we no one really slept because everyone was just talking till like 7 in the morn haha. Heres some pictures of XS

Day 4 - So ended up back at the place i was staying at and it was like 11 and we were all exhausted, hungover, messed up so me and my cousin took a 3 hour power nap woke up and got ready for my cousin ed god-daughter birthday picnic. i honestly kinda wished i didnt party the night before cause i felt out of it i fell asleep at the park and marvin was clowning saying no bums allowed haha he acted like i wasnt awake for that. but it was a really nice day kids running around i was kinda on the grill it was mainly marvin. After we went to this baby shower thing and played games like bing o and smell the diaper and a couple of other ones. After that we went back home cleaned up and got ready for a house party which was alright because we had to spend 3 dollars but man o man it was the best cause i seen this guy get tackled to the ground by some cops haha. Then we all disbanded went to joey chilled then ended up sleeping at the other homegirls hotel again.

Day 5 - Was at my homies matty girl house playing street fighter 4 and watching them play resident evil 5 finally calming down from the weekend. The only bad thing about this was that we didnt have a ride till like 6 pm and we were starving the whole time. Made me realize how good it is to have a car. Well after all the waiting and starving we ate some bomb ass subway , then met up with everyone else and ate some in n out burger which was extra goood haha. And we ended the night with some drinks at joey and that my friend is my vegas vacation there was alil more to it but you know how it goes whatever happens in vegas stays in vegas haha.

P.S. I know most of you guys arent gonna read this but thanks to Matty, Gerbie, Denzel, Chris, Joey, Marvin, Ali, Jayna, Gela, Camille and everyone else that showed me a good time once again in vegas i will be back in august for more peace

Oceans.

It's been a while since our last blog entry. I know that Kevin has been busy with midterms/work/life. lol. Addy recently came back from his trip to Sin City, I have yet to know how that went however. Me, I've pretty much doing the same shit. On the contrary though, even though my actions here in the city of angels have been somewhat...stagnant, I feel as though my mind has matured a lot over the span of two weeks. First off, let me announce my near return to Norcal. But this blog isn't about my return to the bay area, but my return to my priorities.

Initially, my objective for this vacation was to give myself some time to reflect and put things into perspective. I can tell you that it was only recently that things became clear to me once more. I look back and think about the past and try to figure out where I went astray. I'm not saying that what happened before was wrong or that I have any regret because if it hadn't been certain circumstances I wouldn't be the person I would be today. Sure, everyone wishes they could have some things back or turn back the hands of time, but until time travel is invented we all must deal with whats in front of us.

I've been talking to my sister about what I should do with my life and she said tersely "Get your priorities straight." I couldn't agree more. Lately, I lost track of what I was doing. Not only was I skipping out on school, but I absolutely had no direction in life. I found myself having a lot of free time...which is nice, but so much time means that I'm wasting it. At least for those that don't go to school have a goal in life. I didn't. Wrawsome was my life, but I feel like at this point of my life, I can only afford having dance as a hobby. Dancing is something that I want to keep doing, but I can't let it sacrifice what is more important, such as school and work.

So as I come back, I want to get back on track. It will take some time, especially because I'm behind, but it won't stop me from working at it. I need to push myself because I can't afford to waste anymore time as I did before. And I can't let any distractions take the best of me. I left myself open and let my guard down, and I got burned for it. It took one individual to rock the shit out of my world, but I think the way I bounced back and handled myself really was a test of my armor. I thought I had hit rock bottom, but I always say that if you do hit rock bottom, the only way to look is up. This is enough for now. Ciao.

I just want to add this brilliant clip from the movie Old School. Enjoy.

Update.

It's been three days here in L.A. so far. I just wanted to update the readers on how I was doing, what I've been doing, and what I plan on doing while I'm here. Once I got here, all I've been doing so far is just trying to settle in. Getting used to the new area and pretty much living on my own has been somewhat bearable. Coming over here, I thought that I wouldn't been able to move in so easily, and all of a sudden get cold feet and want to go back home. Luckily that didn't happen. Once I stepped through the door, it was kinda exciting. My sister gave me my own room so I just unpacked all my clothes, set up my xbox and basically try to make it as comfortable as I could make it.

On Monday, my sister came home from work and picked me up to go watch her perform a short play that her friend wrote. The theatre was all the way near Korea town..or at least as much as I could remember because I slept on the way there =P. There, I met all her friends and they were really cool and friendly. I was kinda quiet because I was just thinking a lot, plus I'm shy around people that I don't know. It takes me a while to get warmed up to people. Afterwards, we all went to go get tacos at a taco truck, which was really good...and cheap, which made it taste even better. Since then, I've been inside the house just watching tv, playing games, eating, etc. Trying to relax and just be on vacation.

I would say that the most adventurous thing I've done so far is having to walk to the grocery store. The store, called Family Farms, is about 4 or 5 blocks away. Doesn't seem far, but it gave me a chance to take a look at the neighborhood that I was living it. I live in a predominantly Mexican community, then again I realized that I was living in South Central. As I was walking to my destination, I started thinking that I have to get used to the stores around here. I don't have my car anymore so I gotta get used to my surroundings that were walkable distance. Living in Milpitas and now being in L.A., its real different. The neighborhood does look ghetto and I probably wouldn't want to walk around at night. There is a good amount of crazy people walking around and shouting things out. They're all things that I have to get used to and learn to love. lol.

That's pretty much it, and now I'm here writing a blog. I have to admit, I miss home. I miss my car and having the privilege to drive myself. I miss my friends. Really, the only thing that keeps me connected to home is talking to Vanessa at night. I miss her too. She usually just updates me on whats happening in her life or Wrawsome. She also keeps reminding me that she wants me to come home..hahaha...sorry Ness, I'm on vacation. I do plan on visiting though, just not anytime soon. I want to enjoy my time here. I also plan on hitting up my friends that go to school around here, such as UCLA or Irvine. Again, I am a little homesick, but I just gotta tough it. Thats it for now, Adios!

Distance. Finale.

So here it is. The blog before I leave the bay area. It probably won't be the last, but who knows? I'll try not to ramble too long and get right to the point. So it is about six thirteen a.m. The departure from my house is at seven, I should arrive in Los Angeles around two in the afternoon. I just finished packing and I just realized I have a lot of shit. I made sure i brought all my essentials for everyday living. I filled up one large suitcase for shirts and jackets, one duffel bag for my xbox and tv, one sports bag for jeans, boxers, and socks, and one box of shoes. Hella shit. My mom was worried that the bus wouldn't let me bring all that baggage along, but I guess we'll find out.

So this is it, its off to L.A. for at least two weeks. I just want to clear something up real quick. I've been telling people that I will be in L.A. for at least two weeks, meaning that I may stay longer. I say that because I want to stay there for a minimum of two weeks so even if I get extremely homesick, I must fufill the two week quota for myself. My goal though is to stay for a month or two. I really want to see what it would be like if I were to permanently move to SoCal. Now that that is cleared up, lets get to the saddening goodbyes. =(

To my family: What I will miss the most is all the family parties that happen randomly at my Aunt's restaurant. I'm going to miss my cousins Alan, Sally, Stanley, Kevin, Cassandra, and all the baby cousins I have. To alan, it's gonna suck not being able to randomly go to your house or be invited to your friends' parties. lol. We stayed close while all the cousins slightly drifted from each other. I just want to say thank you for the sometimes useful advice you gave me...because sometimes you just say random shit that would never work in real life. hahaha. Take care of the fam while I'm gone my nigga.

To Wrawsome: Oh man...my second family. I know I am going to miss you guys so much whenever anything dance related comes up. If it wasn't for Wrawsome I would've never found something that I was so passionate about. I want to thank Jeffro Rosalejos for that. Its kinda awesome to say that I performed at Prelude, Battlefest, and all the other shows we performed at. It truly has been a lifetime experience. It sucks that I have to cut my streak of being one of the oldest members. OG!!! I better be informed about the anniversary party, I am not missing that shit!!! Alcohol + Wrawsome = Make-out sessions. LOL. Seriously, I will miss you guys a lot. I just teared up right now. Aww. By the way, I own Tim at Soul Calibur 4. FTW NIGGA!

To my niggas: Kevin, Addy, Lance, Justin, and Edward. Almost like brothers. Met all these bitches during high school. Ever since then, all we ever do is party, get wasted or high sometimes, play video games, play football, or chill in front of 7-11. Those were the rudimentary activities that we did for the past 3 or 4 years. LOL. You guys have been there through thick and thin, whether it be girls, school, family, or work. We seriously learned the art of chillin off each other and became masters of The Chill. haha. I just wanna say that I love you guys. No homo. Thank you for everything.

To Vanessa: I saved the best for last. It only seemed appropriate that you were the last person I saw before I left. It seems like we've been on an endless emotional roller coaster with each other. I know we always say this, but I wanna say it one more time: Who knew? Who knew that we were going to share so much together. Good and bad. I want to tell you that I'm sorry for any pain I put you through and that it was not my intention to hurt you. Ness, my last day with you made leaving so much harder. After I left your room, I seriously wanted to just turn around and come back in and just hold you for a little longer because every minute counts with you. You are incredibly special to me. I only wish that things worked out much better between us. The only thing we can do and just wait and see what the future has for the both of us. I know for sure you will be in my life one way or another. I have and always will care about you. We both know that we are so good together. I still believe that. I've never met anyone that could laugh at the dumb things I say or understand the feelings that I express. I know that I will never find anyone like you because you are irreplacable. I know you want me to come back and a part of me wants me to come back to see you, but this is just something that I have to do for now. I will miss you the most. In fact, I already do. Sometimes all I want to see is that beautiful smile of yours so I know that I am the reason for that smile. Goodbye. Honk honk.

Goodbye to all my friends and family. I will miss all of you. Peace and Love.
